Tail of the Dragon – an eleven mile section of road between N.C. and Tenn. where motorcyclists challenge the laws of physics vs. their skills – and sometime they lose. This stretch of road goes by Fontana Dam and inspired Tail Of The Dragon when I rode it with my husband back in 2009. Somehow, I just could see a dragon swooping down the clear, cold waters of Lake Fontana…and the story built from there.
Click on the URL link to my web site (or the cover) and check out the blurb and an excerpt from the book - a sneak peek. For those who enjoy motorcycles - you'll enjoy this book, for those who like changeling/knights who've time traveled from the 11th century to the 21st you'll love it. And for all of us who like Scottish highlander warriors, full of honor and the love for his woman well you get all three. Tail Of The Dragon is due for release from Decadent Publishers on April 24th, 2012. I'm real excited about my first book with Decadent. Keep a look out for the book, I've a contest planned, starting on the release date. There will be more details to follow.
And just so you can see where the road, Tail of the Dragon is, I've included that web site link below. The book is in no way connected to this web site - the people who maintain the site run their business for mainly motorcycle riders and sports car enthusiasts, but just the drive on N.C. Hwy. 64 is beautiful - any time of the year but especially in the spring, summer and of course during leaf change in the fall.  The road gained its nickname about five years ago and is commonly known as - Tail of the Dragon for its twists and turns. Be sure you check out the dedication in the book.
